Meaningful social work in our community in Guatemala


The experience

Join us in this meaningful social work! As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to engage with and support kids, visit orphans and widows, and contribute to supplying food and water to those in need here in Poptun, Guatemala. Our facility, established for six years, can accommodate up to 16 people. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!


What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 100 Per week

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Volunteers contribution help pay for electric, water, and projects within the local community.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent Spanish

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Our family lives on the property and our volunteers work side by side as we serve our community in Poptun Guatemala.


Activities & Shift

Daily activities can be personalized on the individual and can range from work projects on the facility or visiting families and delivering food bags or helping with our weekly kids events.


Rules

No drugs or alcohol are permitted on the property.
We ask that you respect the culture.
The gates of the property are locked at 10pm every night for security reasons and remained locked all night.
