The experience

Kakuma refugee camp is composed by more that 15 nationalities with divergences of cultures and believes that have been the causes of conflicts conducting to clashes and wars between communities Knowledge and skills on peace building have to be disseminated all over kakuma refugee camp so that people may live in harmony and interact positively for social cohesion so we are looking for a volunteers who might apply for this position.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate French

Between 18 and 65 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Not only we expect our youth to be trained in sport from volunteers but also we hope that they will connect our youth to supporters or donors. From us volunteers will benefit learning youth activities in Kakuma refugee camp and different challenges they have been facing to improve their potentialities. Beside, after completion, a certificate is provided attesting that they have volunteered for our organization.


Activities & Shift

Afternoon shift
Activities: football training, monitoring activities, visiting different sportive groups of youth

- Apply for the position at least 2 weeks in advance in order to tramit the volunteer authorization for the refugee camp on time.
