The Experience
Our hostel is located in Beitou, north part of Taipei. Beitou is one of the Top Ten Small Tourist Towns in Taiwan. It only takes 2 minutes to arrive our hostel from Beitou station ( MRT Red Line). Many famous scenic spots, including National parks and hot spring, are within a half-day trip. We are very close to your need, such as local-flavor restaurants, breakfast vendors, coffee shops, fruit stands,post office and traditional night market.

Truly the best! This was my first time using Worldpackers, I'm so glad I did. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, they really treat you like you're part of their family and I'm going to miss them a lot. The work was just like everyone else described, hours are usually only till 2:30, goes faster with more people, and Sundays are usually the busiest days but even then I've never stayed till 4. Although it's a little further from the center of Taipei, I think it's the perfect balance and I loved taking the train in. Highly recommend!

This was my first volunteering experience through Worldpackers and I couldn't have asked for a better one! My 3 weeks at the hostel were some of the most amazing in my life. I truly felt at home and the area where the hostel is located is SO cosy! Plus the staff is so amazing, I truly feel like I've made amazing friends through this experience. I was not sure what to expect but this experience is just amazing, so if you're wondering if this is the place for you, give it a chance! You really won't regret it.

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel Beitou! The staff are so friendly and sociable, and will do their best to introduce you to local foods and customs! The tasks are all fairly simple and easy to learn, and especially in working together with other volunteers and the staff the time flies by! The location in Beitou is also amazing! You have Taipei city centre just a MRT ride away, but can also enjoy Yangming Mountain at the same time. If you enjoy hot springs, Beitou is a lovely choice! I definitely recommend this work exchange!
