Halloween Haunted House in a small French, mountain village

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I wouldn't change anything about it. The village is small but very cute, and there are a lot of hiking trails and cool caves to explore nearby. The work in the garden was very pleasant, especially the days when the weather was nice. Natalie gave me a lot of flexibility with my schedule, which I greatly appreciated, and she cooked a great variety of meals while I was there. She also took me to a couple of nice trips around the area. Everyone else in the house, including the animals, was kind and respectful. I would really recommend this experience.

As a fellow lover of Halloween was this the perfect way to celebrate the holiday. We as volunteers helped create and play a part in the haunted house that Natalie puts together each year. Everyone contributing had their say and space to create their own idea. We helped with carpeting, decorating and acting for Halloween. The house is big and cozy, Natalie cooks great food and the animals are super cute. We could choose our own hours and schedules which was great. The days before Halloween were hectic so I would recommend to stay a few days after to get to know the surroundings as well!

Alice and Johanna were "formidable" and the haunted house couldn't have gone better. They both helped to create, set-up and act in our annual haunted house in our small mountain village, bringing in many guests who loved the scare and especially the creations of Alice and Johanna πŸŽƒ

They both worked super hard and I appreciated all their hard work. Next time Cole for a more relaxing stay☺️

I loved it so so much! Natalie is a very kind person, she's funny, cooks really, really well and, in general, she's an amazing human being to be around. The house is located in the most cute village and I had a lot of nature and animals around me, which was really relaxing. Being around Puma and Minus and all of the animals was amazing! The jobs that I had to do were not complicated and were well explained to me. I felt like I was home and I'm sure that I'll come back to visit ❀️❀️❀️❀️

This was our first experience with Worldpackers and we're very glad we chose Natalie's the home. The village was cosy and the trails had amazing views of the area. Natalie was a great host, she made us feel welcomed into her family and allowed us to set our own schedule for the tasks set out for us. Though the scope of our task was larger than we anticipated, there were no expectations to completely finish it. Over all, it was a great first experience with Worldpackers!

This is a great place to disconnect and enjoy nature. The tasks are very easy and you will have time to finish and enjoy the little town. Natalie it's a very energetic and dynamic woman; not to mention the cook she makes it's great 🀩 and her family (including 🐱🐢🐠) is adorable. I could practice my English and walk around the mountains very often. I'm really glad I choose this place and I'm sure I'll return someday. Thank you for everything Natalie πŸ˜ŠπŸ™πŸ½

I really enjoyed my stay at Natalies place. I felt welcome & had a cozy little room for myself. She showed many great places in the mountains & i got to hike a lot. I had a lot of freedom choosing when i want to work & take time off. The village is super small & there is not much going on. But I perceived that as really relaxing & would recommend it to everyone who wants to slow down a little bit. I also got to taste a lot of new dishes, she's a great cook as well. Thanks for everything!

My1st experience on worldpackers and it's been better than expected. I felt in love with the village and I had a warm welcoming from Natalie. We spoke about the tasks before my arriving and everything was clear from the beginning. I had flexibility of working hours so I worked in my own schedule to be able to finish the project but also to enjoy the place. I felt like home and that is because of Natalie and her family (pets included :P). We had great conversations, she gaved me recommendations of good spots around and I had really good meals. I highly recommend this place. I hope to come back!
