The Experience

We are searching for a volunteer to help out with housekeeping and general cleaning. This includes a relaxed schedule of bed making, cleaning bathrooms and taking out the trash etc. We provide training and all equipment needed to make the work as easy as possible. No real experience required, just that you understand how important a comfy bed and clean shower is inside a hostel! Busy days are always supported by our own staff, so no worries.

I couldn't have asked for anything better from my first worldpackers. I even decided to stay longer than I expected after talking with Dartinia and the others about it. The work is chill, the hostel is so lively, the location is amazing, the staff team is one of the best I've seen. I totally recommend this to everyone but be careful, don't walk into an arm wrestling bar in the middle of the night because you might break an arm.

Everything was exactly what you want from party hostel. You go out every night, the location is right in old Riga, and the drinks are cheap. Dartinia was lovely as a manager just don't point out her tiny feet. Matt and Gabe the owners were travelers as well so they understand the lifestyle and have a lot of fun.Showers were warm, it was never dirty, and the kitchen is nice. The only thing I'd say is don't party too hard or you may break an arm.

When first arriving in a place like Riga people tend to ask you why the hell are you in a place like Riga but then you spend a few days in the hostel and you realise Riga is awesome so much cool stuff to do and the bar crawl on the weekend is legendary...the people in the hostel were amazing I had an amazing stay I highly recommend people to give Riga a try and especially the hostel 🐿️ the mangers and the staff that are working in the hostel are just simply the best they make sure you have everything you need and more.

Working at the hostel Squriell was a very interesting experience for my time there, there was not that many check ins as it is the low season but still every week people are going out all the same, my bed was very comfortable with fancy beds and the work was easy, Darta was a amazing manager very funny and nice but professional honestly I would recommend this hostel to anyone who's looking for a quiet city but a fun nightlife !!

It was an amazing experience. The hostal offers a very nice atmosphere that could be both relaxing and intense depending on the day. The hostal also offers a lot of different things to the volunteers, ranging from drinks to different activities that you can join for free if you want, and of course, the staff was very nice all the time that I was there. 100% recommended, very nice place and very nice people.
