The Experience

In this volunteer placements can teach English, Math, creative and fun activities or sports to the monks for around 3-4 hours per day. Even if you are less experienced, we have teaching materials that help you when needed. In turn, the monks share their knowledge and culture with the volunteers. It was a marvelous experience sharing with the kids in the project. Also the women that come to work here doing the handicraft are very collaborative and nice to work with. Tenzing is an amazing host and the house itself is a very nice place with everyone being so kind. The main work is to be attentive to the kids routine and spent time with them playing and such, especially in the morning so they can go to school on time. I've learned so much about Nepali culture, about Buddhism, about Hinduism and also about myself. The kids are very special. Definitely recommend this 10/10
