The experience

We're a home to students, young professionals, travelers, influencers and artists in Guadalajara, Mexico.

You can become part of our international community during your stay here, while helping with the project in exchange for free accommodation. Explore Guadalajara with us. Travel with us and dive into the Mexican culture. And join the house parties we throw every now and then.


What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent German

Between 18 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Is a residencial house in Guadalajara for students, young professionals, artists and travelers. We offer rooms to them as well as an amazing place to live, to socialize and to get to know people from different countries and cultures.

You can become part of our international community during your stay here, while helping with tasks in the house in exchange for free accommodation. Explore Guadalajara with us! Travel with us and dive into the Mexican culture! And join the house parties we throw every now and then!

During your stay here, you can use all public rooms and amenities like the "regular" roommates, including kitchen, living room with movie projector, garden, pool, BBQ, co-working desk, laundry machine and a sunny roof top. We also have fast Wifi available everywhere in the house.


Activities & Shift

There are various tasks, we need help with in the category "Household chores":

- Cleaning & housekeeping: Assist with cleaning and tidying up the house and garden regularly
- Gardening: Have a green thumb? Take care of our garden and plants in the house
- Building & repairing: Help keeping the house well maintained, perform smaller repairs or help with construction projects

Additional tasks we have available:

- Painting, decorating & creating arts
- Social media maketing
- Organizational tasks

Shifts:

We expect an average of ~15h per week of help in excange for a free room, but unless there is some very urgent task, you can choose what days and hours you want to work and the rest of the time, you can just be part of our house community and enjoy your time.


Rules

Our expectations to you are:

- Reliability, commitment and responsible work ethics
- Solid English skills, more languages are a plus
- Prior experience in at least one of the tasks mentioned before

You will be required to follow the same house rules and have the same rights, as the regular roommates here. The most important ones are:

- Treat roommates, staff and guests with respect
- Avoid loud noise during night time
- Clean after yourself when using public spaces (kitchen, toilets, garden, etc.)
- Partys or larger get-togethers should take place on weekends only
- No curfew, you can come and leave when you want
- Inviting guests is allowes, guests staying over night need permission
- Pets are usually allowed, if you want to bring one, please ask for details
