The Experience

Hi all native English speakers. I am Hoang. I live in Hội An, one of 7 World Heritage Sites in Vietnam. I am really in love with this town. I would like to advise you of a project which I am just starting, to collect books and calling volunteers to open a LIBRARY and English class for the children of Hội An town. We are calling for volunteer teachers from all around the world who come to Hoi An and want to teach them 3-4 hours/day on weekdays.

Ms Hoang was the sweetest person. She was very informative on what was expected of me and she helped immerse myself into the Vietnamese culture. She cooked for me and I helped her with her English:) I felt very included and helpful during this time. I was to pick out a the project Monday through Thursday to read to the children. After each the project reading there was an activity to also perform. Usually the activity is related to the project. Then I would assist in whatever Ms Hoang needed help with. It was a very rewarding experience.
