My time volunteering at the surf camp Camp was an amazing experience. It felt welcoming and it was nice to meet other solo travellers. We were included in the camp's events such as pizza nights and Friday BBQs. Volunteers are also able to take surf lessons once a week which was a big perk. The volunteering job itself was a combination of social media and cleaning. It was more cleaning than I expected, but the job tasks were easy, such as tidying the common areas and surf camp. The social media part of the job was fun, which surrounded around making content (reels/stories) for Instagram

During my stay I was helping clean the breakfast area, recycling, and setting up surf equipment. So easy tasks that every day felts as my day off. Besides, once per week, I enjoyed not just unlimited pizza but the most delicious tiramisu at the "Pizza Night". If you are planning to join the surf classes, consider that the surf classes are in the morning, so you can join the classes if you are on the afternoon shift or your day off (Note: do "push-ups" before your arrival to be ready to surf). Finally, Sara and the staff were incredibly kind and supportive during my whole stay. Thanks for all!

Volunteering at the surf camp through Worldpackers was an incredible first volunteering experience! The camp has a very relaxed atmosphere, with extremely friendly and helpful staff and very nice guests. The tasks were straightforward and I got a lot for exchange. Sagres itself is a beautiful town that's tough to say goodbye to. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience, particularly if you are into surfing or hiking. I can't wait to return and see everyone again which hopefully will be very very soon!😊 Thank you for everything!
