Luciana and Lucas form a beautiful union and I am happy to help their business prosper, which is why I accepted the invitation to be Hotel Manager. Let's evolve together, I'm learning a lot from you. Thank you for your trust and for believing in my potential. My volunteering experience was great and I want to provide that to future WorldPacker volunteers ;)

Fortunately we ended up getting to know that the last experience that Felipe had was absolutely right. We had staff members who worked together and all of them told us that when we were not around he didn’t perform tasks. Also he mentioned he could speak English but he doesn’t go beyond basic sentences. He had manipulated us to end the experience on the platform and give him a review but that was he way to keep his reputation here, but be mindful that Felipe is far from being the person he says he is.

I was always blamed for mistakes and the lack of organization of the men on the team. At times, there has been rude behaviour for no apparent reason. In addition, all the work done was criticized, and nothing seemed to meet the ever-changing expectations. Be prepared to receive requests outside of working hours, which, as it is a volunteer, can unbalance the equity in the relationship between daily demands and the favors requested. Sudden changes in routine and requests outside of working hours, due to the nature of volunteering, end up presenting an additional challenge.

Despite the nice location, I would not recommend this hotel to other Worldpackers. Honesty, collaboration and empathy are expected for both hosts and guests, but unfortunately, these areas have an important of room for improvement. It is important to communicate expectations clearly, as I had to leave early due to a disrespect to the terms of allotted worktime and poorly stated and unfairly distributed workloads among members. You are right that the hospitality business is too serious for attitudes like this, as they will damage you more in the long term than it hurts us as guests.
