I just finished my journey at Janne's house and I can't be happier with the whole experience. I stayed there for 2 weeks, I had more than enough time to travel to the places I wanted to visit, work, and learn. I also had many free time for my self. The food was extremely good, Janne (the host) is such a good chef. I definitely recommend coming!

I spent 10 days with Janne and it was a wonderful experience!! I helped out with an event he was hosting and then helped organise several spaces around Janne's place. Janne was an amazing host, extremely generous and easy going! He was very flexible with tasks, hours and days/times off. It was like staying and helping a friend instead of a typical volunteer position and I learnt a lot, both practically and theoretically. Janne is definitely a philosopher and it was great to chat with him around the fireplace after the work was done! I'm gonna miss being there and I'll definitely be back!

Pt.2 … realised they had to be washed. Janne always respected our appartement as our privat space which was equipped with necessities for cooking and living. We suggest to ask for pictures to adjust your expectations since they don't really match. The property is nice if you can deal with disorder and trash. Jannes treatment depended a lot on his mood and his fitness. E.g. there was a conflict with another volunteer (cf. other reviews). We have to add that he never was rude to us. When he was present we had meaningful conversations and discussions.

Pt.1 When we arrived, Janne welcomed us with open arms and provided a space to meet other volunteers. On our first day of work he provided us with a list of general tasks but rarely specified them. The same while working on projects. We were kind of left on our own, especially when searching for tools in his cellar. He hasn't been home during the day so we had to send messages for every single screw or decision. However, working independently also provides you with a lot of freedom. It seems like Janne didn't prepare our arrival properly. The duvets were still damp after other volunteers …

Pt2 We cleared basement of 20kgpaint buckets/corrosive chemicals for 10 hours &organised the house but did no hydroponic. In the last few days the group repeatedly asked for food or had to buy our own as Janne often didn't provide necessities, saying eat bread or non fresh food.He was ill so we offered to da food shop& empty the van into junk yard as he planned to do, he said these offers were selfish. At the end, he said to stop volunteering (after we did our hours )&buy our own food. The surroundings were beautiful and the tenants/volunteers were lovely but someleft early for similar reasons
