Description

All accommodation fees are a direct, 100% donation to Centro Infantil de los Ángeles. Each donation will be used for the benefit of our children at the center: for food, teacher salaries, classroom supplies and maintenance. We make every donation count and really appreciate the volunteers’ support in these efforts.

What you get

The Experience

We're a nonprofit organization that provides high quality daycare and preschool education to children with the greatest need in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Our center affords low-income working parents the confidence and security of knowing their children are fed, cared for, and supported on their path to a brighter future. Activities include: Assisting the teacher, playing with children, arts/crafts, field trips and others.

This experience was not exactly as I had expected, but the staff were very friendly. It is more of a daycare setting, and you need to be fluent in Spanish. You help with some playful activities in the preschool and then go in the daycare and supervise them. There isn't much teaching involved, and you will have to buy your own food for meals, as only lunch is provided. The accommodation is very nice though, and they do their best to make you feel comfortable.
