Amy was the one who received me, I never met her husband, I applied for housework and cooking, but I didn't do any of that and I was teaching English classes, the class schedule is good from 6pm to 10pm approx, it allows you Having plenty of hours free to explore, it is located about 40 minutes by bus from the center. For me there was a lack of information from the beginning, there is no organization or good communication, the schedules are sent to you the same day, in general there is disorder, they are focused on other tasks

My stay here was okay. The English classes are primarily taught online as personal lessons. I will say that communication did lack both during arrival and throughout my stay.

This is my first time trying volunteering with Worldpackers. The host (Amy & Duy) are both really nice & helpful. I had the chance to eat local food everyday which Amy & her husband would cook. The surrounding is really conducive and not too far from the city center (Old Quarter). There are gymnasium, cool cafes, kfc, korean food, mall and park nearby the homestay. You wont feel bored to explore around after classes. I did the teaching 3 hours per day (1.5 hours each in morning & afternoon). The materials are prepared but you are free to do any kind of activities with the children.

Our experience was very good. The family was very nice and welcoming. The work was fun and easy, the course plan was provided but we were free to create our own courses. Work time was mostly between 5pm and 10pm. The school was not too close to the old quarter but you have everything you need around and we were able to use the family's scooter. The food was great and always enough. It would be good to improve few things : the WiFi, which was bad, especially because the courses were online. Also, the communication, it was sometimes hard to get our schedule. I would recommend this stay.
