The Experience

Read the ABOUT THE HOST and LEARN MORE section as well. Some important info is in there! If you stay one night, a bit of socializing, help with cooking(pitch in maybe) will be fine. But if you stay 2 or more nights help in the house, with cooking and cleaning etc and help outside in the garden would be appreciated. Different places to stay depending on the availability. Either the BnB room (pictures), Guest room or other possbilities. Cya!

I had a great time with Siewart and Tanya! They love connecting with travelers and sharing stories. It's a quaint village that's very charming. Can't wait to see the flowers we planted, bloom!

This is the way a volunteering experience is suppose to be but in many instances isn't. Stewart, Tanya, and their family are wonderful people. In 9 years of volunteering, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The work was easy, the food fantastic, and their company wonderful. I met their family and friends, as well as exploring Friesland with their help. It is a gorgeous area along the North Sea. Don't miss this opportunity to visit this family. It will be an unforgettable memory to keep with you the rest of your life. I highly recommend coming and staying for a time.

Whole Wiersma family was so friendly, hospitality and nice.Tanya and Siewart's mom Wiesje is really good chefs.Wiesje made us bread by herself and it was the most delicious bread i have ever ate.She took me to city Dokkum and it was so nice trip.I enjoyed riding bike so much. Also Wiesje's brother Jan has a fantastic museum about cows and please don't forget to bring items about cow from your country,he will be very happy :)Tanya and Siewart explain cleary all works you have to do and you don't have so many tasks during the day. .My room also was so comfortable and cosy.

This was my first worldpackers experience and I do not regret it one bit!! Tanya and Siewart along with their lovely family and home were very welcoming guests and taught me a lot :)) The private room I stayed in was very cozy and the work I did was within the agreed upon hours and they tried their best to explain to me exactly what they expected and wanted (eg. potting plants, cleaning windows and doors). Tanya is an amazing cook and we enjoyed lots of really yummy traditional Russian salads with ingredients fresh from the garden!!

Eu me senti acolhida pela família anfitriã. Super gentis e respeitosos!
