The experience

Voluntourism (Volunteer + travel) is a form of ecotourism. Where volunteers immerse themselves in a new culture and learn/life from a different perspective altogether.

This role enables one to learn and exchange cultures, get community work experience, and form lifelong friendship or even professional networks.

Volunteers will be doing projects in a local community from Monday through Friday and have weekends off to rest and recuperate.


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 502 Per week

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers and Materials for volunteer activities

Description: $750 AUD is for a week stay this covers transportation, 3meals per day, accomodation and volunteer community work materials


What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Beginner English

Between 18 and 60 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Before a project commences, all volunteers are to go through a whole week of orientation (introduction week). This is to brief you about the local culture, the "DOs & DONTs", traditions & customs before heading out into the communities the following week. Introduction week also includes visiting some tourist attraction spots, a language lesson and a chance to cook a local traditional dish.

Projects start from week 2 with a maximum of 12 weeks per project.


Activities & Shift

Depending on the number of weeks you have booked, all projects start a week after introduction week (Mon-Friday 8:30-2:30 pm).

All volunteers have weekends off and may choose to spend it elsewhere (cruise, resort stays etc. - personal trips or activities outside company activities are not included in the package).

All continuing volunteers are to report back to the volunteer accommodation every Sunday evening ready for the next project.
