The Experience
We support a sustainable community of local San Diego business owners. The work location is 10 minutes drive from our famous Hostel @TheHostelCalifornia where you will be staying with other International Guests. The main job as "handyman" will be to help our "Refurbished Goods" warehouse keep tidy, can include painting, scraping, sanding, cleaning up overgrown brush, and to help organizing. Also may be opportunities to help Reclaim furniture.

Very easy job! The host was very accommodating and everyone there was super friendly. Great place to stay if you don't want to do too much work while still having a place to sleep with a cool community.

My experience here was amazing! I was able to explore around San Diego all while doing my daily duties of cleaning the kitchen and whatever else was needed in the hostel. I met some lifelong friends while living here and we are still keeping in touch after I have left. Everyone was very sweet and if you ever need anything, you can ask Andy and he will help you out. Thank you so much for such a great experience and can't wait to come back(:

Awesome place! Really easy to meet tons of people to hang out with. I think I was only alone when I was in the bathroom. SO many great beaches to surf and watch sunset. the hostel has every amenity you will need. Really a fun atmosphere, very international, you will make life long friends

The hostel was a very nice experience. You are very close to all the other volunteers but also the other guests. In evening there is often a campfire or a little get together. Also your work is very relaxed. You're supposed to wash some dishes, keep everything today or help with laundry. Also since I was responsible for social media, I could some rule my own day, which was a great opportunity to get to know San Diego Very recommendable experience !

There were a lot of nice people at the hostel and the work was very easy :) Andy was extremely nice and the location was very nice. I truly enjoyed my stay in San Diego and will miss the community at the hostel!
