This was a really sweet experience. Getting to directly work with animals is something I've always wanted to do and I'm grateful to be able to help. The work can be very hard and I do recommend patience as your body adjusts, but it was also heartwarming to be able to help such sweet beings. Everyone is welcoming and helpful . If you don't mind hard work in basic settings I would suggest it. Thanks to everyone at this lovely place.

This has been such an incredible experience and one that I will remember forever. The core team really love and look after the animals which has been a pleasure to be a part of. I will miss all the animals so much but hoping to come back one day! My partner and I stayed in our own little cabin which was cozy and comfortable. Please be aware that the volunteers look after the communal areas and also do the cooking and cleaning so sometimes it can be frustrating if someone doesn't contribute to that. I have really enjoyed my time on the farm and found it extremely rewarding. 100% recommend.

WOW! What an incredible experience being here was. The core team at My Lovely Pig Rescue are extremely passionate about providing the best lives for the animals here and that passion spreads to the volunteers too. Although the work is difficult to begin with, once you get into the routine of farm life, it becomes a world of its own and what an amazing world it is! All the animals here are amazing and even on your days off you'll just want to spend your time with them. I've met friends from all over the world, who I'll cherish and stay in touch with forever. Thank you for everything!

I had an amazing time at MLPR! The pigs and other animals were incredible and this is such a unique experience that I'm so grateful to have been part of. The only thing I would say is that you do typically end up working more than 25 hours/week and that some of this work includes cooking and other household chores. However, you do meet lots of lovely people and animals and there's even a ping pong table which is a blast. If you love animals this is definitely the place for you!

Volunteering in My Lovely was an amazing experience! I connected with the animals in a way that I didn't think it was possible, I learned so much about pigs and to connect with them in a pair to pair way. Being there l was being sorrounded by love. The coordination team was great and super committed to the animals and volunteers. The accomodation and meals are amazing, I totally recommend My Lovely Pig Rescue from the heart! thank you for such a wonderful experience.

The rescue was an amazing experience, absolutely once in a life time. I met so many amazing other people from all over. It is set up really well to have your working time and off time. You get to learn so much about pigs, I had never been around pigs before and become so much more confident around them. I loved the communal living, we took turns with chores and cooking. The people on the farm became my family for the 5 weeks I was there.

My experience at MLPR was cut short due to some unforeseen circumstances that I could not look past. Overall, most of my time at the sanctuary was enjoyable. I loved getting to work with the pigs, talking with other travelers, and experiencing a new culture. However, the conditions at the sanctuary were a bit difficult for me to adjust to. Future travelers should be aware of very close sleeping quarters with others, rodents on the premises and in common areas, and a general uncleanness of the bathrooms, kitchen, etc. The pigs are very wonderful, but the work can be difficult.
