The experience

Come share this beautiful place with us. We are in southern England, near Hambledon Hill, a majestic National Nature Reserve with rare species of plants.

We're looking for volunteers to help us with garden maintenance: weeding, watering, clearing out sheds and organising, sweeping areas of leaves and debris.

We are about one hour away from Bath, Bornemouth and Bristol and 3 hours from London.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Pet Sitting: Taking care of and looking after pets.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 21 and 40 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

European Union Passport

Program Details

There is a utility room. Volunteers can use washing machine and ironing facility to do own washing. The wet/ shower area has a large area for drying clothes and a dehumidifier. You can make your own drinks at any time and you will have food provided in the shared kitchen so that you can cook your meals. We have bikes.

Own car desirable as we are a small village and bus service restricted. We can provide some trips by car or pick up if fairly local. We have plenty of parking space.

Activities & Shift

Activities include helping us with garden maintenance: weeding, watering, clearing out sheds and organising, sweeping areas of leaves and debris.

You can also help us clean our cars, and windows on ground floor. Taking our dog for an occasional walk or dog sitting. Painting, tiling, sanding maintenance of patio furniture.

We are emptying an old store and would like to renovate it if someone had building/ carpentry skills.

9-1 pm general cleaning inside and out and property maintenance.

Rules

Prefer non smoking. I do have lodgers rules and a notice board to respect others etc. Certainly no late night noise and prefer them to be in by midnight. No visitors without permission.
