The Experience

We're looking for a seasonal caretaker at AOS R&R, Arts On Site Residency & Retreat, a retreat center in Kerhonkson, in the Shawangunk Mountains. We’re looking for someone who enjoys cleaning, is detail oriented, and enjoys living in community. The caretaker role is a work trade opportunity with 14 hours of work each week in exchange for free accommodations at AOS R&R. Accommodations include a private tiny house with bathroom & kitchenette.

This place is beautiful! The owner is a great manager and a good friend, we got along wonderfully, he did everything he could to make my stay pleasant. I lived in a cozy TinyHouse in the woods, near the facility. The place is artsy decorated and has everything you could need. The work schedule is well organized and I had a lot of free time to explore the area. Within walking distance you will find a lake, a waterfall and hiking trails. To get to the cities there is a free bus, and NYC is a 2:30 hour drive. I totally recommend this experience!!

Kyle and Chelsea and Co. have made an amazing place! I felt so welcomed and immediately connected. I also came at peak berry season (July) which was an added bonus. It was an exciting and fun time (◍•ᴗ•◍)
