The experience

Upendo means: LOVE.
The orphanage supports children aged between 1 months up to 14 years old who have lost both parents, and others have been tragically abandoned by parents and can not afford to food, shelter and cloth. The orphanage makes sure the kid's obtain food, clothed, and good health most importantly give them love and Hope.

What you offer

5 hours of help per week

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Materials for volunteer activities

Description: We kindly ask all volunteers to contribute a small amount of US$10 per day maintain food and accommodations. This will help to support the host family, to provide you with three meals during the day of your stay and save other expenses like electricity, gas, and water. What you get

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Beginner English or Beginner English

Under 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside Tanzania

Program Details

As a volunteer we would love your assistances in education, health care, classroom materials(Books, pen and pencil, colors, exercise book's etc.), clothes, sports & games and supporting kid's through difficult emotional times.

Our schedule starts from 9:00am to 12:00pm
