The Experience
We only require that you work in the hostel for 20-24 hours per week at most in exchange for a free bed in our staff accommodation next door. Duties include preparing breakfast, cleaning bathrooms, making beds, doing laundry, taking reservations, checking in guests, giving tours of the hostel, assisting guests with directions, dealing with payment, etc. Training is provided and we encourage positive, outgoing interactions between staff & guests.

I stayed 1,5 month at the the hostel and had a wonderful time. Shannon takes really good care of the volunteers and we got to live together in a small apartment close to the hostel, where we had some privacy besides the hostel operation:) The work was really varied so it never got boring, and we had a lot of free time to explore Charlottetown. The island and city is beautiful but it is kinda hard to explore the island because of the bus transit. Anyways me and my boyfriend had a wonderful summer in Charlottetown! Would always come back :)

Everyone i met was lovely! Shannon is a very easygoing person who seems to genuinely care. i would definitely recommend working for her:) the house was nice and close to everything in town and i had many things to do to keep me busy thought the trip.

What an Experience!The hostel is very cute and there's travelers from all countries! It is very well located and it's a very safe and clean hostel , witch makes it feel like home! Shannun the owner is one of the kindest and respectful personne ever! She puts all her heart in the hostel, flexible on the shifts, never makes us over work.We are also able to learn new skills if we are willing to. as a traveler herself, there's always a lot to exchange about! Great vibe. beds à confortable , meeting other volonteer is great also ! I recommend highly to come have a volonteer experience here!

It was a very nice experience, in which I was able to see the way of life in the city and enjoy it.
