Program Details

You should be fluent in English and Spanish. It's best if you have no dietary restrictions and can eat anything. Have no medical conditions that you will not disclose to us. Have a clean bill of health and contact information in case of an emergency. We expect you will be focusing on communicating with a good number of people, both volunteers and guests, helping to prevent misunderstandings and keeping the harmony going on that we have already established. You will spend 25 hours a week doing this. Your personality is the type that will chip in to help along side of any volunteer that seems to need guidance and assistance. In this way, your social work skills will be valuable and put to use. This is an extremely hands on position and requires daily engagement, keeping people motivated and engaged and preventing distractions from the work of building community.

Rules

Quiet and low volume is maintained here at all times. You may need to help remind people of our house rules. No smoking inside the house. Everyone cleans up after themselves. There are tenants (longer term) and AirBnB guests and volunteers all staying here together. It gets very busy in the summer season. Everyone chips in. A sense of belonging and helping each other is very important to the work here.
