The experience

We are a dog shelter, where the main work is done by Malee the owner, and 1 or 2 family members.
At the moment we have about 400 dogs and 40 cats.
Which means we are very hopeful to find some volunteers.
You will help at our shelter by cleaning the kennels and dog areas, feeding them, bathing and grooming the dogs, and helping cook the food for them. It would be anything as long as you and we are feeling comfortable with it...

Program Details

You should be an animal lover and be comfortable around big and small dogs.
We need people who can work hands-on in the heat and understand that rescuing animals can be emotionally draining.
Please be aware that the owner of the shelter is a kind, hard-working Thai woman with her beliefs, which means, animals will be never put down by a vet.

Activities & Shift

Usually, the shift begins in the early morning with helping cooking, because it is not so hot.
You will have your breakfast and clean the dog areas, scoop the poo etc., play with the dogs.
Break and lunchtime is around 12pm.
In the early afternoon, you will start to prepare for feeding the dogs, put them in the kennels, clean the area, and then feed the dogs, take away bowls after, and release the dogs. This main job will be done around 4:30 pm/ 5pm.
And dinner with us (if you wish) is about 7pm.
