The Experience

Our school is located within a community belonging to the Thai mountain Hmong tribe. Most of them are Buddhists, and some still adhere to ancestor worship. This community is still holding on to their tribal traditions firmly. The student's parents are engaged in agriculture and have a beautiful culture. They make their own traditional clothing and embroidery such as clothes, hats, bags, tablecloths, cushions and accessories.

An amazing first volunteering experience! The teachers were very caring and always made sure I had enough food. It's a great way to truly experience the culture! I taught with an English teacher together the 1st to 3rd grade and loved it, the students are adorable! Apart from teaching, there are a lot of activities going on like cooking class or Thai dancing, where you can join. the the school director even took us on a day trip to Chiang Rai. Even though the teachers' level of english is not really good, they still try to have conversations with you to improve their english. 100% recommendation!!

My stay in the the school was splendid. The teachers were amazing, kind and helpful. They will look after you and make sure that you all have what you need. The students were amazing, cheerful, sweet and attentive. They are a bit shy during class but with a little cheer and encouragement they will joyfully participate. You will also take part in every the school activities which is so fun. The class schedule and grade you will teach will be given in advance. If you really want to be immersed with Thai culture and savour Thai cuisine, then this place is for you! Soar high Team Racha!
