The Experience

You will stay in a typical rural home with land to take care of - depending on seasons this could be mowing, wood stacking, building of fences, planting, conserving the harvest... Learn sustainability from locals and bring new ideas for an ecological living to blend in. I´m rather flexible about how to split the 25 hours a week, this might vary due to the season and your necessities, but morning hours are preferred.

I really enjoyed my time at Borgo Le Caselle! It's a beautiful place in quite a remote area so perfect if you're looking for some peace and quiet and want to immerse yourself in nature. Working with Bettina was a lot of fun, I learned a lot about maintenance, garden work and what life is like in rural Southern Italy. I was able to choose my working hours quite flexibly such that I could go for a hike when the weather was good (which I would definitely recommend!) She and her dogs made me feel like I was part of the family and I hope to be back someday :)

We had a nourishing experience with Bettina, getting to truly know about so many things, from local community, ways of life, to history facts about the surrounding. We loved the authenticity of the journey because we also got to learn a lot on ourselves too witch is amazing. The host has a lot of knowledge and truly wish to share with others. We appreciate sharing the food all together everyday also!
