Carsten is a welcoming, kind and non-ordinary host. He's a nice person and it was a beautiful and special experience that, I think, it's up to you how you live it. There's lot of autonomy and the nature of Tzermiado is wonderful. We did a lot of Italian, shared interests and learned from each other, worked on translations, explored the place and exchanged recipes and life stories. I found him supportive and communicative, very open to dialogue. We created a truly beautiful relationship and I saw him change and continually improve, in the language and humanly. Thanking him, I wish him the best.

Carsten and I not only shared a house for 2 weeks, but also shared our dreams, ambitions and passions.Carsten is a vibrant person, a passionate knowledge seeker with the soul of a young child. As a host, he did everything to make me feel not just safe but truly at home. Our love for Greek language and culture lead us into the making of a Greek teaching project: “Learn Greek With Evi And Carsten”on YouTube. Carsten became more than a host; he became a dear friend and really helped me grow and evolve as a person , and I'm deeply grateful about everything he did. See you soon!Ευχαριστώ για όλα!

It was a great the project and I'm glad to have been part of it! Carsten was a really attentive host and always took good care of me. Though some of the responsibilities could have been communicated more clearly, but it was quickly resolved and didn't affect the overall experience. He provided me with all the neccessary art supplies to make the paintings and was also very engaged in the project and overall supportive. He is a very interesting person to talk to on different topics and I learned a lot from him. I had a great time and felt fulfilled with my trip!

Initially, communication with the host seemed positive as we discussed art and arrangements for my two-week stay in Crete. However, upon arrival, the host's behavior became concerning. I am not suppose to write any acccusations but I was creeped out by Carsten. Feeling unsafe, I decided to leave early. While the host arranged transportation, his behavior left me with regret and a sense of insecurity. I advise caution for anyone considering a stay with this host.

We got along well with Carsten. He is a cultured person and you can talk about anything with him. He is very flexible with times and things to do. We could go to the beach every day and he would let us choose what we wanted to do. He paid for our meals the whole time, we thank him for that
