I had a wonderful time at Manuels farm. It was my first volunteering and I'm so happy I got to do it with him. I felt comfortable, learned a lot from him, and enjoyed the time in peaceful nature and with astonishing views! The animals all keep you company, the tasks were gardening and taking care of the land, as well as lots of healthy cooking. I definitely recommend taking some time off and immersing yourself at Manuels beautiful sanctuary. Thank you for everything!

Manuel made us feel so welcomed and was truly accommodating. I learned so much during my time here. I learned about sustainability, food design systems and about the general culture. Manuel took us to a couple very beautiful spots on our days off and I was truly mesmerized by what I saw! Regarding tasks, I helped with cooking, cleaning, weeding the garden and whatever task needed to be handled that day. During free time we were able to practice yoga, hike around and explore. I recommend this experience to anyone who truly enjoys nature and spirituality!

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this experience. This was my first Worldpackers volunteer position so I wasn't sure what to expect but everything exceeded my expectations. Staying with Manuel felt like staying with a family member. He made us feel very at home and welcome and gave us a ton of autonomy over what we helped out with day to day. The tasks weren't too demanding so we had a lot of free time to explore the land and relax. Manuel also had a lot to share about sustainability and we enjoyed talking with him during meal times and other times throughout the day.

We had a phenomenal two weeks with Manuel and already miss it! As he would say, it's a place full of good energy. Jobs ranged from repairing an old greenhouse to planting eggplants to helping turn an abandoned building into a space for yoga (!) Manuel was incredibly generous, thoughtful, and shared so much knowledge about the area and his own life experiences.

Our stay with manuel was above all expectations. It has been so amazing. Manuel is the most welcoming host, and his place really felt like a little sanctuary. The host is very flexible with the work, that made us really want to help out. We also Got to see the amazing national park, and eat all sorts of local dishes. It was clear that he wanted us to have the best time and experience, at his place, and we are forever thankfull to him🙏🏻

The location was absolutely beautiful with access to Cangas de Onis and the Alsa bus system. Manuel was kind enough to give us rides into town on our days off so that we could explore the beaches and the Picos.

We spent 3 weeks with Manuel at his farm - a remote and peaceful place in the mountains with stunning landscapes. Manuel welcomed us with open arms, making us feel at home right from the beginning. The work on the farm was diverse and fair. Manuel enabled us the freedom to determine our own work schedule, choose activities that fit our skills and interests, and come up with our own project ideas. Manuel is incredibly knowledgeable about the region and also a great teacher, we learned a lot from him. We also got some great recommendations and tips. Thank you for a great and meaningful exp

We we're Warmly welcomed to Manuel's beautiful farm, the work was honest and fair, we we're given the choice of what work we could do. A great opportunity to connect with nature, and to enjoy a slow paced lifestyle. In our spare time Manuel recommended some great local spots for hiking, swimming and waterfalls. To the picturesque mountains, the amazing farm animals, we loved every minute of our stay. Manuel is a beautiful soul, and taught us many things about sustainability and the world at large. Much love!
