My time at 36 hostel was amazing! The work was more difficult than in other Japanese hostels I worked for, but the teaching and explaining was really great and clear! Rika-San is an amazing manager and a lovely person, she welcomed me really kind. I met amazing people and I'm really grateful for the experience <3

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and it was a perfect one. I worked at the Akicafe hostel, the biggest one out of both. The work (cleaning) was fairly easy and the hours were exactly what we agreed on and we even finished early most days. The team was amazing, Ryoko is an absolute angel. I had a lot of time to visit Hiroshima, and fall in love with the city. The whole team was amazing, I'm happy to now call a lot of them friends. We spent a lot of time with the staff working at Hostel36 as well and went out to visit or eat together often.

There are 2 hotels, 36hostels and akicafeinn, and I worked at AkicafeInn and loved my time there! The work isn't complicated and it's a really nice place to live. Hiroshima is a beautiful city and I met a lot of incredible people during my stay. Don't hesitate to apply, it's a really great place!

Volunteering @36 hostel, the small one, was a fantastic experience! The tasks were easy and when there were two of us working together, we could make it in 2.5 hours. I got a bed in the 10 bed mixed dorm and there was a problem in the dorm that I hope they will fix for good. Rika is so cute, she has always been very kind to me and she helped me enjoy my stay even more. The Japanese staff in general was very welcoming and nice to talk to. I met many people, guests and not, who are now my friend and with whom I have many precious memories. I wish I could changed my plans and stay l longer.

I really enjoyed doing this volunteering, the tasks are not hard at all and we had a good schedule, the manager and guests were really nice so if you spend some time in the common area you can get to meet some nice people. The facilities are so good and clean and you have a lot of free time to explore the city !
