Be part of the Spanglish Colombia family with our volunteer package and immerse yourself in the local culture and Spanish learning. Support us in various tasks at our school, such as marketing, gardening, cleaning, teaching English or your native language, among others.

What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Pet Sitting: Taking care of and looking after pets.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Description: Our volunteer package is priced at 700K COP (approximately USD 175) per person per week. This fee covers the costs of Spanish classes and meals. Program Details

In summary, you will enjoy the following:
• 10 hours of group classes led by professional and experienced teachers (option to add 4 hours of 1:1 private lessons).
• Accommodation from Sunday to Sunday in a shared room, in a peaceful, clean, and welcoming place with a beautiful mountain and tree landscape.
• Delicious traditional local breakfasts from Monday to Friday (vegetarian option available).
• Delicious lunches with the seasoning of a Colombian grandmother from Monday to Friday (vegetarian option available).
• Shared and very clean bathroom with hot water.
• Various activities at the school you can participate in, such as billiards and beer nights, movies, card games, campfires, and cooking dinner together.
• Insurance while you are in our facilities.
• 15 hours of work on various tasks at our school.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers are accommodated in bunk beds in shared rooms. Our activities begin with breakfast at 8:30 and then classes in the morning, which are between 9 AM and 1 PM. Volunteers need to be available starting at 9:00 AM. They are required to work 2 to 3 hours between 9 AM and 3 PM. The days off are Saturday and Sunday, so that volunteers can enjoy the town and engage in different activities if they wish. Therefore, volunteers can conclude their volunteering on either Saturday or Sunday. Also, some days we organize different activities in the evenings to share with guests in which volunteers are free to participate.

Rules

The school program is designed by weeks starting every Monday, so volunteers should arrive on Sunday to settle in, but if you want to arrive a few days earlier, you can stay with us as a hostel until Sunday to start your week as a volunteer. Regardless of the area in which you apply, all volunteers will also be assigned the house cleaning duties of sweeping, mopping, and doing dishes as needed. Of course, this without exceeding the working hours in the day.
