The Experience

This project started in January 2017 from an abandoned olive grove and an old country house. In the last year, the project has also started to take shape on a permaculture design model and the goal is to transform the place in an oasis of biodiversity. The place is managed by Giuseppe, 39 years old, anthropologist, kitchen chef, farmer and enjoy trekking and yoga. I hope to meet people who love to stay, to help and to enjoy the nature.

From the first moment I fell in love with Giuseppe, with the place he has created, with the atmosphere there. My volunteering was like helping a friend who will always has a special place in my heart. He introduced me to his friends, they are all very dear to me, we had great time together, having dinners in the garden or just hanging out, I start feel them like my friends. Giuseppe is running his project thoughtfully, with attention to the details, he is excellent host, proper gentleman, we had very interesting conversations and ...this experience was truly magical for me. Thank you Pepino!

Giuseppe was a wonderful host, he really made me feel like at home. I felt very welcome at his the guest house and comfortable. He showed me a lot of interesting places around and i learned a lot from my experience there. He introduced me to his lovely family and friends, i really enjoyed spending time with them. I had an absolutely wonderful first volunteering experience here!!! Guiseppe is an absolutely fantastic host and person, he took me to many places I would never have known about, introduced me to his friends and family, and really made me feel at home here! The work is varied which kept things interesting- Guiseppe was clear with instructions and kind when I made mistakes. The place is remote which I loved, it was the perfect place to relax and disconnect from a busy life. The accommodation was basic but very comfortable. I can't wait to come and visit the project again!!!

Giuseppe was a good host, he tried to help me in whatever he could. We had fun and I learned a lot about different things during this stay. I had a lot of time to relax and connect with myself. A little more organization with what has to be done would've be good and necessary.
