The experience

As a small local organization in Chikwawa, we need an extra pair of hands to support the staff at the office! You will be helping us with:
- Teaching classes;
- Conduct practical lessons;
- Proposal development;
- Fundraising through social media marketing (SMM);
- Helping with youth clubs and others that is related to young people in schools.

New ideas and projects are very welcome too!


What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: The volunteers will contribute $5 per day for food only.


What you get

5 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.


Requirements

Beginner English or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 65 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Community Forum is an organization committed to social change and development through Education, Health and socio-economic intervention programmes. We run projects ranging from Health: - we run health programmes in rural communities so we welcome volunteers in from Health fields on this program. Education: - we do a lot of educational intervention programs from teaching, sponsorships for less privileged school children and donation of stationeries to deprived community schools. Child marriage awareness campaign/project is one of our major projects a lot of children in Rural Communities are forced to marry at early ages at the expense of their education they either stop school or never attend school at all, we educate them create awareness inspire and sponsor them to be in school.

Rules

The volunteers should be able to adapt to environments in a rural set-up; good communication skills using English language and must be able to respect the culture of the target communities.
