The Experience

Hello everyone, We're currently looking for volunteers in Japan who would like to help us with cleaning/teaching while staying at our guesthouse for free. If you've been wanting to go sightseeing around Osaka and Kyoto, this is a perfect place for you. We also provided opportunities and training for those who want to stay in Japan long term. Most of our former residents made friends and settled down somewhere in Japan.[Don't apply using CHATGPT]

It was a really nice experience. When I stayed there , there wasn't many students so it was not much cleaning to do which was nice because I had a lot of freetime to look around the Kansai area. In comparison to other positions you are more by yourself because you will probably be the only volunteer but there are always people on the school to talk to :) Hirakata is also a cute city lots of parks and close to nature it was fun to look around. I would recommend to stay here if you want to travel to the school, kyoto or Nara which are very close :)

My experience at the school was lovely. I spent two hours each day cleaning the communal spaces of the guesthouse, with the third hour dedicated to writing a blog. The hours were fair, the job was easy, and the environment was relaxed. Both staff and residents were friendly and exceptionally kind. The location was great, providing plenty of time to explore the Kansai area. Thank you for having me!

Staying at the school was great! I am actually staying one more month :) The hours are fair and the environment is very chill. Until now it's been a calm place, there's not a lot going on, but it's close to the school and Kyoto, so there's always something to do if you want! Everyone is friendly and welcoming, I even made some friends 😊

The school was my first worldpackers experience and I had a great time. I worked two hours a day cleaning the house, and was free to spend the rest of my time however I pleased (e.g. exploring the Kansai area). The staff and residents are really kind and helpful and made me feel at home. The town itself is comparatively smaller, but gives good insight/helps to immerse oneself in japanese culture and there is always something to do, as my new friends would invite me to things or show me around. I highly recommend the experience! Thanks for having me :)

The school is a great choice for travelers looking to discover Kansai. The work is easy, a simple two-hour task, the atmosphere is nice, and the Japanese students living there are really friendly. The staff was great too. Plus, it's conveniently located between Kyoto and downtown the school. Highly recommended!
